December Craft Kit for Teens, Central Library or East Branch; pick up a craft kit, with instructions and supplies, to make a peppermint scented candle.

Storytime! Central Library, 10 a.m. Fridays Dec. 2, 9 and 16. Kids ages 2-5 with an adult, are invited for stories, activities and songs.

Storytime! East Branch, 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Dec. 7 and 14.Children ages 2-5 with an adult are invited to join for stories, activities, and songs.

Gifts from Your Kitchen, 6 p.m. Central Library, Tuesday, Dec. 6. Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension Services Educator, will share ideas and inspire creativity to create edible and non-edible gifts from the kitchen. Registration is required.

Holiday Family Fun Night, Central Library, 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. Kids up to age 12 and their families will complete three Christmas STEM/STEAM challenges – make Rudolph’s nose light up, create a snowstorm in a jar and more. Registration is required.

Paws to Read, Central Library, 11 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Dec. 10.Kids will read to a licensed therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines.

Kids Cozy Christmas Craft Night, Central Library, 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12. Children in grades 3-5 will make a cozy pillow and a jingle bell necklace followed by snacks and Christmas MADLIBS! Registration is required.

Book Discussion for Adults, Central Library, 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. Discussing “The Lincoln Highway” by Amor Towels. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.

Let’s Move That Snow, Central Library, 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. Participants will design and build robots with toothbrush heads and cell phone vibrators able to clear fake snow and ice, with presenter Ella Lorentz, OSU Extension Services Educator. Drinks, pizza and snacks will be provided. Registration is required. Intended for ages 10-16.

Yearlong Reading Challenge 2022 for Adult. For those who have been participating in the Yearlong Reading Challenge, the deadline for submissions is Dec. 17. Call the library with any questions about the program.

Family Movie Matinee, Central Library, 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Showing on the big screen, the story of inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side. Take a chair or blanket, snacks and a drink with a lid. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Call the library for the movie title, rated PG.

LEGO Building Challenge, Central Library, 5:30-6:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19.Ages 6-12 can join for LEGO building fun. LEGOS. Ideas are provided.
