Holt's Janae Tyler, Lansing Catholic's Anna Richards headline BCAM all-state selections

Holt star Janae Tyler and Lansing Catholic’s Anna Richards headline the players from Greater Lansing recognized as all-state by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan.

Tyler, who is signed to play at Kent State, and Richards were named to BCAM’s Best of the Best squad. They were among 13 players named to the top all-state squad. Richards was among the leaders as Lansing Catholic claimed a Division 2 state title, while Tyler led the Rams to a state quarterfinal appearance.

Tyler and Richards were among a large presence of all-state players from the area.

The Division 1 selections were headlined by Grand Ledge’s Ava Scanlon and Madi Uyl, who were named BCAM’s Best. East Lansing’s Sophie Klinger and Tara Kurncz were honorable mention selections.

Haslett’s Emily Homan and Lansing Catholic’s Leah Richards led the way in Division 2 as BCAM’s Best selections.

Williamston’s Claire Casey and Reese Gaytan, Haslett’s Grace Isenhath and Isabel Lindo, Jordan Cleveland and Grace Mellinger of Alma, Corunna’s Sydnie Gillett, Portland’s Malia Thelen and Lansing Catholic’s Hannah Pricco.

Dansville’s Megan Zeitz was selected BCAM’s Best in Division 3, while honorable mention selections included Ovid-Elsie’s Ava Bates and Evalyn Cole, Pewamo-Westphalia’s Sierra Schneider and Ithaca’s Delaney Seaman.

Fowler’s Emma Riley, Morrice’s Aubrey Rogers and Portland St. Patrick’s Laynie Meredith led the way in Division 4 as BCAM’s Best selections. Lansing Christian’s Lydia Brogan, Morrice’s Makenzie Doerner and Webberville’s Ryleigh Nelson were named honorable mention all-state.

Individuals on the all-state teams were nominated by their BCAM member coach.
