CANTON – Enjoy authentic Greek food and Greek dance troupe performances at the 45th annual Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Grecian Festival.

It starts today (July 13) through Saturday (July 16) on church grounds at 4705 Fairhaven Ave. NW.

The festival will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. the other days.

Choose from traditional Greek pastries, including baklava, a walnut filling rolled in layers of paper-thin film dough, brushed with butter and topped with honey syrup; fengarakia, crescent-shaped cookies filled with walnuts; tsoureki, Greek sweet bread; and more pastries.

Also on the menu pork and chicken souvlaki, marinated cubes of pork and chicken kebab with pita; gyros and sandwiches; lamb shank; fish plaki and more Greek specialties. Beer and wine also will be available.

Drive-thru and carryout will be available from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 14, 15 and 16. You can pre-order food online at grecianfestivalcanton.com.

Along with plenty of Greek food, there will be Greek dance troupe performances each day. There also will be church tours starting from the main church doors at 7:30 p.m. tonight, and 1, 4 and 7 p.m. July 14 through 16.
