Home and Away's Dean is dumped by Ziggy as Ross story continues

Home and Away airs a sad split for Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni on UK screens next week.
Dean (Patrick O'Connor) is dumped by Ziggy after telling her the truth over Ross Nixon's murder and his involvement in the cover-up.
Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) is horrified as Dean explains that Colby Thorne fatally shot Ross and they both teamed up to bury the body.
As Dean has been keeping this dark secret for the entirety of their relationship, Ziggy decides that he's not the man she fell in love with and ends things between them.

The break-up sends Dean into a downward spiral as he starts drinking at Salt to drown his sorrows.
Before long, Dean is pursuing his old flame Amber Simmons (Madeleine Jevic) and they share a kiss.
Things look set to go even further between the two of them, but when Dean lets slip that he only broke up with Ziggy hours earlier, Amber refuses to be his rebound girl and rejects him.

Later in the week, Colby (Tim Franklin) is furious when he learns that Dean has told Ziggy the truth.
The tension almost leads to a fight between Colby and Dean, with suspicious detective Angelo Rosetta (Luke Jacobz) witnessing the whole thing.
As Dean's state of mind remains a cause for concern, Willow Harris (Sarah Roberts) decides to take him away from Summer Bay for a few days so he can clear his head.

Dean's disappearing act infuriates John Palmer (Shane Withington) as the board shop is left unattended for several days.
John confronts Ziggy over this and demands an explanation, but she insists that Dean is not her responsibility anymore as they've broken up.
Dean's sister Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) is stunned to overhear this and reaches out to Ziggy. Before long, the two of them have made plans to become housemates, with Mac moving into the Astonis' farmhouse.
Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
