Home and Away's Kirby Aramoana will fight for the future of Lyrik in upcoming scenes.
Last year Kirby quit the band Lyrik to pursue a solo career. She eventually changed her mind and decided to get back with the band.
Unable to get out of her current solo recording contract with manager Forrest, Kirby and the band decided to break the contract by posting on social media that Kirby had rejoined the band.
In scenes set to air in the UK next week Eden tries to get Lyrik into shape by pushing rehearsals, but Remi can't see the point until Kirby is out of her contract with Forrest.

When Remi is struck by inspiration, he comes up with a plan hoping to fight alongside Kirby by staging a fake gig to get Forrest's attention and to use the fans to force his hand.
After hearing about the gig, it isn't long before Forrest bites, and a confident Kirby meets him the next day to talk about her contract.
At the meeting, Kirby tries to appeal to Forrest's better nature but it's not long before she is forced to play her hand.
Kirby tells Forrest that if he won't release her from the contract Lyrik will put on their social media that he is responsible for them pulling out of the gig.

Not taking the bait, Forrest says that he will sue them for breaking the contract, and for defamation.
With Kirby defeated, Remi comes up with a plan – if Forrest releases Kirby from her contract, he can have full control over her solo music.
After consulting with the label, Forrest points out to Kirby that the eight songs she wrote for her solo career are better than anything she did with Lyrik.
Kirby is certain of her decision and the record label releases her from her contract.
Home and Away returns in January 2024 on Channel 5 in the UK and Channel 7 in Australia. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
