A convenient location has driven continued growth in east Prattville’s popular Highland Ridge subdivision.

The neighborhood is located on the east side of McQueen Smith Road, just north of Cobbs Ford Road. The location, along with the community pool and newer homes, has led to at least 16 home sales just in 2023, Realtor Steven Dillard said.

“My listing on Chancellor Ridge Road went under contract after 18 days on the market, for full asking price…” he said, adding that the neighborhood’s reputation for safety, convenience to attractions, community pool and home prices are all helping generate sales. “Homes are well-kept and maintain and increase in value.”

Highland is zoned for the Daniel Pratt Elementary School. A Highland address also is convenient to churches, shopping, dining, and a YMCA. “Residents are always walking their pets and exercising through the neighborhood,” Dillard said.

Most homes were built between 2000 and 2011 and are single story designs with three or four bedrooms, Dillard said. “But there are some homes that have a bonus room upstairs,” he said.
