Home run, hits records fall at Terrebonne General All-Star baseball game
The 14th-annual Terrebonne General Health System All-Star baseball game was played at Southdown Field in Houma on Saturday.
Team Terrebonne defeated Team Lafourche 18-12. The game consisted of senior high school baseball players from Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.
Among the records broken were most home runs in a game (4), most stolen bases by Terrebonne (7), most combined team runs in a game (30) and most combined hits (25).
Here are top performers from the all-star game:
Terrebonne
Noah Prosperie, H.L. Bourgeois: He hit 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
Laine Trosclair, Ellender: He hit 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Luke Lirette, H.L. Bourgeois: He hit 2-of-3 with three runs and a RBI. He set a new record with most stolen bases at 4, which includes both his at-bats on base and courtesy running for pitchers and catchers. The previous mark was three set by Mike Barba in 2009.
Connor Matherne, Covenant Christian Academy: He hit 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI.
Christian Dupre, H.L. Bourgeois: He hit 2-for-3 with one double and two RBIs.
Mason Rodrigue, H.L. Bourgeois: He was the winning pitcher who didn’t allow a run and gave up only one hit.

Lafourche
Wyatt Clement, Thibodaux: He hit 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Craig Duplantis, Central Lafourche: He hit 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.
Derin Doucet, South Lafourche: He hit 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and runs each.
Wes Allemand, South Lafourche: He hit 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs.
Jonah Callais, South Lafourche: He hit 1-for-3 with a run.
