Home for sale in Utah was built into a mountain, and it’s seriously cool. Take a look
A stunningly unique concept of a home has landed on the real estate market in Vernal, Utah, and you can trust us when we say there’s absolutely nothing like it.
“Wake up each day to a beautiful sunrise, gorgeous mountain views and the fresh scent of the outdoors,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “There isn’t another home like this one where the artistic sculpture of natural rock incorporates modern design features.”
Judging by the photos, the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home — which is listed for $1.35 million — is built into the mountain it rests against and the rock in the interior helps give it a sophisticated edge.
Features in and around the 4,938-square-foot house which sits on 45 acres include:
Open great room
Wrap around patio
Primary room fireplace
Primary private patio
“During the summer rain the spectacular water falls off of the rock surround the patio for a majestic sound & view that only nature can provide,” the listing says. “As you explore the acreage you will find petroglyphs, wildlife and beautiful serene surroundings.”
The residence was featured on Friday Night Zillow, a Twitter segment run by Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis that highlights interesting houses across the market, and people were in awe.
“Up next on #FridayNightZillow: A classy one-of-a-kind house built into solid rock. $1.35M. Extraordinary. Utah,” Dennis tweeted.
“Love the views. Love the party shower,” one person said.
“I like the Rock house although it’s too remote for me,” another noted.
“Dry walling the Utah rock house must have been a nightmare!” someone observed.
Vernal is about 170 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.
