Home values in much of SLO County have fallen. Interactive map shows where and by how much

Home values in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Maria have certainly cooled.

Just a handful of ZIP codes in the region have seen the median home value increase since prices peaked in California last spring. San Luis Obispo has seen values rise slightly, while values in Paso Robles and Atascadero have dipped.

The interactive map below shows the changes in median home values since April 2022 for nearly every ZIP code in the region. The data is provided by Zillow and is updated each month as new figures become available.

Home prices throughout California and in much of the Central Coast have dropped in recent months, thanks largely to skyrocketing mortgage rates that have kept many potential buyers on the sidelines. According to the California Association of Realtors, the median sale prices in SLO, Santa Barbara, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties are all down over last year.
