Home, vehicle destroyed in fire outside of Conway

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Lucas Bays Road home and nearby vehicle were destroyed in an early Tuesday morning blaze, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

Crews were dispatched to the area at 4:19 a.m. A nearby camper also sustained damage and a person was sent to the hospital.

Officials said incident had been brought under control as of 5:30 a.m. American Red Cross is assisting two displaced people.

Georgetown County Fire & EMS assisted on the call, and the fire’s cause is being investigated.
