Homecoming set for Blue Raiders football Saturday

Middle Tennessee State celebrates homecoming all day Saturday with the annual parade and Blue Raiders football game facing the Colorado State Rams.

University events began earlier this week with an alumni welcome, "Moon Walk" roller skating, followed by the official kick off event "Under the True Blue Moon Part" on Thursday.

The Blue Raiders face a challenge with Colorado State after the Rams' disappointing double-overtime loss to rival Colorado, 43 - 35, in their game last week, Sept. 16.

Saturday offers a full day of activities:

  • Middle Parade Watching Party — 10:30 a.m. — Alumni House grounds, 2259 Middle Tennessee Blvd. The party welcomes alumni and friends for music, souvenir photos and inflatables for the kids.

  • Homecoming Parade — 11 a.m. — Main Street, Middle Tennessee Boulevard. The Student Government Association and the Alumni Association host the annual Homecoming Parade that will begin on East Main Street at Maney Avenue, continue on East Main Street, turning left on Middle Tennessee Boulevard and ending before Greenland Drive.

  • MTSU Blue Raiders vs. Colorado State — 6 p.m. — Floyd Stadium. Cheer on the Blue Raiders as they take on Colorado State for Homecoming 2023.
