Between a vastly successful music career and equally triumphant ventures into the beauty and lingerie worlds, it’s little wonder that Rihanna is worth an estimated $600 million. So, it should come as no surprise that the singer-turned-businesswoman has owned and rented dwellings worth a combined total of over $100 million. Below, look at 11 properties that Rihanna has called home over the years.

In March of 2021, it was reported that Rihanna dropped $13.8 million on a Beverly Hills mansion built in the 1930s, her most expensive real estate purchase yet. The 5,909-square-foot home is located in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, not too far from Tyler Perry’s nearby mansion, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lived for a few months last year. Rihanna is not the first famous resident to live in this particular cul-de-sac—Paul McCartney (with whom she collaborated on the 2015 track “FourFiveSeconds”), Madonna, and Mariah Carey have also called this neighborhood home.

A $10 Million Mansion, Beverly Hills, California

Just a few months after purchasing that $13.8 million mansion in Beverly Hills, Rihanna dropped $10 million on the property directly next door. Yes, you read that right—RiRi has owned and rented plenty of homes over the years, but only now can we say that she owns two pads that are located this close together. According to Dirt.com, this 3,549-square-foot home was built in 1939, and it boasts four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. This .46 acre property last sold in 2015, for $5.1 million, meaning that the people who called this place home before Rihanna made a profit of nearly $5 million.

Last September, Rihanna’s former residence in London hit the market for a whopping $41 million. The 19th-century house boasts eight bedrooms, a gym, movie theater, private elevator, and more, across 6,332 square feet. And it comes with enough parking spaces to fit up to 10 cars! According to the Daily Mail, Rihanna rented this property for £18,000 a week, which translates to approximately $25,000—meaning she paid $100,000 a month to stay here. Maybe this home inspired Rihanna’s 2015 hit song “B*tch Better Have My Money”?!

Not even the pandemic could stop Rihanna from retreating to the Hamptons last summer, when she was paying $415,000 a month to rent a 6,140-square-foot home in Southampton. And the property has a star-studded past—it’s the same dwelling that Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian rented back in 2014 while filming Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons. RiRi lived in this five-bedroom, six-bathroom abode from mid-July to mid-August of 2020, according to the New York Post.

A $925,000 Condo, Los Angeles, California

In 2015, Rihanna spent $925,000 on a 2,000-square-foot condo in a Los Angeles high-rise along the Wilshire Corridor, according to Variety. Not much else is known about the property, but it’s been reported that the main reason behind Rihanna’s recent preference for high-rises over mansions is because of trespassers at her Pacific Palisades home, which reportedly gave her no choice but to vacate the property.

In 2013, Rihanna purchased a $21.8 million beachfront property in her home country of Barbados. The 10,000-square-foot condo is part of One Sandy Lane, a luxury resort in Paynes Bay, and it boasts five en suite bedrooms. It’s one of just eight apartments of this size in the resort, all of which include its own private terrace, according to the Daily Mail.

Since 2017, one of Rihanna’s main residences has been a penthouse in The Century, a 42-story condominium-building-slash-skyscraper in Century City. Just like the aforementioned Los Angeles condo, this property was sought after for safety purposes, given that there are private elevators and what The Hollywood Reporter called “three layers of anti-paparazzi security.” The building also boasts a 75-foot pool with private furnished cabanas, and a 24-hour valet. It’s not clear how much RiRi pays for this penthouse, but given that fellow celebrities like Paula Abdul and Matthew Perry have also lived at The Century, we imagine it’s not cheap…!

Rihanna purchased a Mediterranean-style mansion in Hollywood Hills back in 2017, for $6.8 million. Just a year later, she listed the property for $7.495 million, six months after an intruder broke into the home, according to Variety. Then, in 2019, the songstress decided to rent out the dwelling instead, following months of it sitting on the market and no buyers. Ever since then, the 7,130-square-foot villa has been available to rent for $35,000 a month.

A Chinatown penthouse rented by Rihanna from 2013 to 2017 was re-listed for $15.95 million last year, following over 10 years on and off the market. According to the New York Post, when Rihanna first began renting this four-bedroom duplex in 2013, it cost $39,000 a month. Come 2017, she spent nearly $50,000 a month on rent. Our mantra would be “work, work, work, work, work, work” too if we had to pay that much…!

Despite signing a year-long lease, Rihanna called a Pacific Palisades mansion home for under nine months in 2012, following a stalker situation that forced her to leave. After hitting the market for $14.995 million in 2014, the 10-929-square-foot property sold for $11.75 million in 2016, according to Curbed. The songstress rented this seven bedroom, seven bathroom home for $65,000 a month, according to Architectural Digest.

Less than three months later, she flipped the property and sold it for $2.85 million. This 2,651-square-foot home boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a poolside guesthouse with its own bedroom and one and a half bathrooms.
