Hometown Food Company recalls select lots of Pillsbury flour sold at Publix and Winn-Dixie

Hometown Food Company is recalling specific lots of its Pillsbury Unbleached All Purpose Flour because it may be contaminated with salmonella.
The affected flour was sold in Publix and Winn-Dixie stores.
According to a recall notice on Winn-Dixie's website, "there have been no reports of any illnesses associated with this recall."
The Publix recall notice says "12,185 cases of impacted Pillsbury Unbleached All Purpose Flour product were distributed through a limited number of retailers and distributors nationwide."
The lot numbers of the affected bags are 8 292 and 8 293 with best if used by dates of April 19, 2020, and April 20, 2020.

"Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them," the Publix recall notice says. "These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a refund."
No other Pillsbury products are impacted by the recall.
Hometown Food Company acquired Pillsbury’s shelf-stable baking and desserts product in September. The portfolio company of Brynwood Partners VII L.P. and Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. owns Hometown, according to the Brynwood Partners website.
