Hometown Hero: PA Dedicated To Saving Lives During Pandemic

DEER PARK-NORTH BABYLON, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Susan Smyth, who nominated her daughter, Casey Smyth, from the Deer Park-North Babylon area. Casey is a physician assistant working tirelessly in the Critical Care unit with COVID-19 patients. According to Susan, she nominated Casey for her dedication to saving lives during pandemic as well as with critically ill patients.

Thank you for all you do Casey Smyth!
