Homeworth veterinary office raises funds for K9 vest
County Line Veterinary Services in Homeworth celebrated its 30 years of continued service with an open house fundraiser event. All proceeds from the event and T-shirt sales will be donated to Alliance Police Department's K-9 unit. The business' goal was to help with the purchase of a bulletproof vest for the department's newest K9 officer, Xander, who was a guest of honor at the event with his handler, Alliance Police Officer Anthony Palozzi. Those who attended the event got to meet Xander. Guests also could tour the clinic and enjoy face-painting, sno cones, and a silent auction of baskets donated by BAGS basset rescue, Don Ponchos, Texas Roadhouse, Trend Again, Log Cabin Bar in Sebring, Brittany Aufrance stylist at A Cut Above, Julie Runk-Coffelt State Farm Insurance, Paintings by Artist Erin Mulligan. Also on hand was a dunk tank which members off the office staff sat in and offered chances to guests. The event helped to raise half of the cost of Xander's vest. T-shirts remain for sale at www.bonfire.com/clvs2022openhousefundraiser. Donations also still are being accepted at the business, 4365 Union Ave. in Homeworth.
