Coroner: Man found dead inside vehicle on Indy's west side was reported missing in Avon

Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead inside a vehicle on the west side of Indianapolis Monday, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Police were called to the 6400 block of Jaguar Place on a report of a death investigation just after 11:30 a.m. The Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services arrived and pronounced the man dead, according to IMPD.

The man had traumatic injuries, according to police.

He was identified as Harpreet Singh, 28, whose family reported him missing from Avon on April 23, according to the city's police department.
