Homicide investigation: PBSO deputies find man dead near Delray Beach

DELRAY BEACH — A welfare check at a suburban Delray Beach home led to the discovery of a deceased man Wednesday morning, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reported Thursday.

A statement from PBSO did not disclose the man's name or say how he was killed. An autopsy by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office revealed the man was the victim of a homicide, PBSO said.

Deputies were sent at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to a home on the 15000 block of Summer Lake Drive, in the Waterways at Delray community along Atlantic Avenue south of Florida's Turnpike. Upon arrival, they found the man dead inside.
