Homicide victims' families decry violence in Baltimore

Relatives of two homicide victims in Baltimore City are pleading to state and city leaders to find more ways to stop the violence. While the families converged Wednesday outside Baltimore police headquarters, the Baltimore City Council's Public Safety and Government Operations Committee held a hearing to discuss youth crime reduction and violence prevention. Jamar Day reacted to a postponed padlock hearing that could determine whether the city should shut down a gas station where Day's uncle, Albert Stevenson, was killed and another man was wounded on Dec. 11. Day said he wants to participate in that hearing, but so far, it has not been rescheduled.
