Honda Brings Together an Awesome Lineup for SEMA to Highlight 60th Year in U.S.A.
Honda's booth at SEMA will commemorate the company's 60-year history in North America.
Two CR-V overlanders, a couple of modified Civic Si cars (including the drift car pictured above), and a Chevy delivery truck are among those featured in the 10-car lineup.
The entire set will be on display at SEMA next week.
Honda is celebrating its 60th anniversary in the United States by assembling an impressive set of 10 Hondas that trace the company's history from the early '60s to the present.
Two 2020 Honda CR-Vs—one gas-powered and one all-new hybrid—outfitted with all kinds of overlanding accessories will be at the head of the display. Accompanying the off-road-ready CR-Vs will be a rally-spec 2019 Passport, a Ridgeline sporting Honda Factory Performance concept accessories, some modified Civic Si cars, and more.
One of our favorites is a 1999 Civic Si that was heavily modified for Super Street Magazine. It's fitted with an awesome body kit, tons of decals, a nitrous tank, and a Momo steering wheel and racing seats. This badass Si was modified on a $10,000 budget and won the Civic Si Challenge in 2000.
Another favorite is actor Daniel Wu's "Outlaw" 1968 S800 coupe. The S800 is one of the first Hondas ever made, and it is still powered by the original high-revving four-cylinder, although it has been extensively restored. A GReddy exhaust system is fitted, so we bet this thing sounds absolutely insane. Additionally, this S800 has a custom body kit with wider fenders, a custom air dam, and a two-inch-lower suspension.
About that Chevy truck. It's a replica of one of the early delivery trucks that was used by American Honda and is freshly painted with the American Honda logo and red pinstripe. Adding to the nostalgia are two early Honda bikes in the bed: a 1965 Honda CB160 and a CB77 Super Hawk.
