Highlights: The Hooks spotted the Sod Poodles a 7-1 lead as Amarillo scored three runs in the first and three in the third but thanks to the Hooks bullpen and some timely hitting the Hooks rallied. Hooks relievers Henderson, Ruppenthal and Conn combined to throw six scoreless innings to give Corpus Christi a chance at a rally. Whitcomb's solo home run in the eighth tied the game and the Hooks had to rally again in the 10th to win. After leaving the bases loaded in the ninth, the Hooks scored two runs in the 10th, one on an RBI double by Adolph and the game-winning run was a broken bat sacrifice fly by CJ Stubbs to score Adolph to win the game.
