A long line of PSG fans waited outside the club’s store on the Champs Elysees on August 11, hoping to get their hands on a Messi shirt after men’s sizes quickly sold out online.

Messi agreed a two-year deal with the French giants on August 10.

He will wear a No 30 shirt, and only women’s and kids’ sizes were available online for purchase on the PSG store on August 11.

The 34-year-old left Barcelona, the only club he has played for professionally, as they were unable to afford a new deal under La Liga’s financial fair play rules.

He joins a stellar attacking lineup including Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. PSG’s squad has been further strengthened this summer by the arrival of Italy’s goalkeeper, and Euro 2020 player of the tournament, Gianluigi Donnarumma, as well as Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid and ex-Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.
