This week's Coloradoan Conversation:

This week, Foothills mall owners McWhinney and Prism Places plan to unveil their vision to reinvigorate the Midtown Fort Collins shopping center for the second time in a decade. After Alberta Development Partners' $313 million renovation of the mall failed to live up to many expectations, the mall's new owners are looking to turn Foothills "inside out" and bring more residential, office, dining and entertainment spaces to the property.

The public can get its first look at the new vision for the mall during an open house planned from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15. Expect a focus on outdoor paths linking a mix of retail, dining and entertainment opportunities that cater both to visitors and residents living on the mall property.

With Foothills entering another chapter in its evolution, what are your hopes for the space and how it might help shape the future of Midtown Fort Collins?
