Horizon School holds 2022 commencement ceremony; more than 70 graduate
More than 70 students turned their tassels Wednesday evening as they became graduates of the Horizon School, a school of choice within Desert Sands Unified School District that provides students with K-12 virtual academy and independent studies options. The graduation ceremony was celebrated at Indio High School.
Sage Juarez gave the graduation speech.
She along with Alyssa Cheathem, Tenaj Nievar and Elizabeth Reyes-Romero graduated summa cum laude.
Another 14 students graduated cum laude or magna cum laude, and dozens of students received state honors for merit, biliteracy or civic engagement.
