Hospital foundation announces Caddell-Grisham Award recipients

Aug. 31—Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation's Caddell-Grisham Award will recognize two volunteers instrumental in supporting Decatur Morgan Hospital.

The 2022 award recipients are Blythe Bowman and Rick Paler.

"Both Blythe and Rick have supported the Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation for years. They have served on our board of trustees, been very active and generous with their time, talents and resources. They both say 'Yes' whenever we call on them for anything," said Noel Lovelace, president of the foundation.

The award honors individuals who exemplify a spirit of service and leadership to the community and hospital.

Bowman served as chair of the board of trustees in 2020 and served on the Foundation Guild, co-chairing Gala 28 and the Gala 37 silent auction.

Paler volunteered with the foundation's wine tasting events and served in a leadership role in the Golf Classic. He has also provided items for the foundation's silent and live auctions.

The foundation will honor Bowman and Paler on Dec. 9 with an honorees luncheon at 11:30 a.m. and a black-tie event at 7 p.m. Proceeds from Gala 30 will provide funding for the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.
