🌱 Hospitals Say No Room + Model For Future + Fur Babies 4 You

Morning, people of Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch! Bettyann Pernice here with a fresh Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch Daily.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny and pleasant. High: 70, Low: 45.

Here are the top stories today in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch:

  1. COVID-19 has not yet peaked in most areas of the country, but hospitals are feeling the strain. A least one local hospital in San Diego has turned away patients. The hospital had no available beds and no medical staff available to care for the patients. The sick were rerouted to other hospitals. Wondering how your San Diego hospital is doing? 2. Five Rancho Bernardo High juniors are semi-finalists in a national Modeling the Future Challenge that offers a grand prize of $25,000 in scholarships. The challenge is open to high school students taking statistics, probability, pre-calculus, calculus, and similar math courses. Students need to develop and present their mathematical model to describe new technology or industry that will change the future. The RB team chose to explore the issue of housing shortages and availability. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (The San Diego Union-Tribune)

  3. Need some love and affection? Good news: adoption facilities in the RB-4s Ranch area have cuddles and love waiting for you! Dogs, cats, and other animals of all ages, sizes, and breeds are without a home in California — and many of them are located in our area. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link.
