Hostage Abducted From Music Festival Reunites With Family in Israel

Mia Schem, a 21-year-old French-Israeli captured by Hamas at the Re’im music festival in early October, was released and reunited with her family on Thursday, November 30.

This footage released by the Prime Minister of Israel shows Schem and her mother running toward each other’s arms as they reunite at the Hatzerim Airbase.

In mid-October, Schem was seen getting medical treatment on her arm in the first video Hamas released showing a hostage.

Hamas released a total of eight Israeli citizens on Thursday, the prime minister said. At least 15 Palestinians detained in Israel were transferred to Ramallah on the same day, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross. Credit: Prime Minister of Israel via Storyful
