Hosts of 'WKRP in Cincinnati' rewatch podcast 'WKRP-Cast' visiting Cincinnati this week

The hosts of a podcast devoted to rewatching the classic sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati" will be visiting the Queen City this week.

Allen and Donna Stare, hosts of the "WKRP-Cast" podcast will arrive in Cincinnati Tuesday and stay through April 3, and are encouraging fans and listeners to contact them via the podcast's Facebook page (facebook.com/WKRPCast). The trip was originally scheduled to coincide with Opening Day for the Cincinnati Reds, but will continue, even as Opening Day events have been moved to April 12.

They will be staying in the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown, which was the former home of The Enquirer and used as a location for WKRP offices in the show.

There are no formal meet-up plans, but the Stares said they hope to have some informal gatherings with local listeners.

"WKRP in Cincinnati" ran for four seasons on CBS from 1978-1892 and featured the adventures of staff at the fictional struggling radio station WRKP, set in Cincinnati. The podcast from the Stares launched in September 2020. Each episode focuses on one episode of the show and features background, trivia, commentary and scene-by-scene breakdowns.

"We want to visit these places we've been told about and that we've seen on the screen," Donna Stare said in a release.
