Hot mic seems to catch top Senate leader express concern over Georgia Senate race to President Biden

A hot microphone caught U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer share his thoughts on the Georgia race with President Joe Biden on Thursday.

In video of President Biden arriving in Syracuse, New York, which is Schumer’s home state, the senator can be heard updating the president on senatorial elections that are crucial for Democrats.

One of the elections he discusses is the Georgia race between Senator Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker.

“The state where we’re [inaudible] downhill is Georgia. It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker,” Sen. Schumer appears to say in a barely audible clip.

The senator also makes note of Georgia’s record-breaking early voting numbers.

“Our early turnout in Georgia is huge, huge,” the senator appears to say.

Earlier this week, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office announced that more than 1,000,000 Georgians have already cast their votes, which is more than any non-presidential election in Georgia’s history.

Walker addressed the comments at a campaign event in Dublin, Ga.

“You may have heard that Chuck Schumer got caught on a hot mic telling Joe Biden that Raphael Warnock is going down in Georgia. Even the AJC wrote about it. Can someone check on those reporters? Make sure they’re okay? The Democrats finally tell the truth when they think no one is listening. Chuck Schumer is giving Warnock his eviction notice. Poor Raphael Warnock…he’s been voting with Joe Biden for 2 years and now his buddies are calling him a loser behind his back! But we already knew that Warnock is going down in Georgia. He got crushed in the debate because voters got to see the real Raphael Warnock.”

The senator also appeared to update the president on other key races in Pennsylvania and Nevada, saying ““It looks like the debate didn’t hurt us too much in Pennsylvania [inaud] so that’s good... we’re picking up steam in Nevada.”

Channel 2 has also reached out to Sen. Warnock’s office for a comment, but has not yet heard back.
