Williamson County is a hub of business, with new companies and small businesses planting roots here every week.

The summer has brought a diverse swath of new players to town, from entertainment and leisure businesses to large national companies looking for a new home.

NolSol Hot Yoga + Barre coming to Nolensville

Hot yoga is coming to Nolensville with NolSol, a new studio headed by founder and owner Jessica White. The studio will feature guided classes and use an infrared heating system that helps participants sweat it out during extended yoga sessions. The studio will hold a grand opening event Saturday, Aug. 13.

Spring Hill's public golf course relaunched as Towhee Club

Spring Hill's public golf course has reopened after an extensive facelift. Towhee Club, formerly known as King's Creek Golf Club, now features a new clubhouse and the Birdsong Social restaurant. Longtime patrons say it was worth the wait:

"I've been here 17 years," course regular John Cobb told The Tennessean. "There's no comparison, absolutely no comparison, with the golf course and the building."

Illinois-based Highland Ventures relocating to Brentwood

Williamson County continues to build its reputation as a hub for corporate headquarters. Highland Ventures, formerly based in Glenview, Illinois, announced in July that it would invest $8.2 million to relocate its headquarters to Brentwood. Highland Ventures has a diverse portfolio, including Family Veterinary Group, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24, Highland Pure Water & Ice and Legacy Commercial Property. The relocation will create 80 local jobs over the next five years, according to a press release.

Avec Moi looks set to stay despite building sale

The downtown Franklin property at 416 and 418 Main St. was listed for sale at $3.75 million, but current tenant Avec Moi has no plans to move. Bob Roethemeyer, who opened the boutique 13 years ago, said he plans to maintain his lease with whomever ends up buying the property. Loy Hardcastle is the broker for the property sale.

Vintage Winery closes ahead of impending property sale

Columbia's Vintage Winery's "Vino Servicenter" is closing after its lease ends on Aug. 5. The operators were unable to secure a new long-term lease due to an impending sale for the property, according to the business' official Facebook page.

"We are so proud of the community that was had on that patio during such trying times for many," the post read. "We hope whomever ends up with this gem of a spot does something amazing and even better!!"
