Hotel Covington among top places to stay in US this year, according to Yelp

Cincinnati probably won't be the most popular vacation spot this summer, but people visiting the Queen City will have an excellent place to stay.

Yelp, which publishes crowd-sourced business reviews, released its Top 100 Places to Stay in 2023 last month. And Northern Kentucky's Hotel Covington made the list, ranking No. 13. It currently has 382 reviews, more than any place ranked above it, and a 4.5/5 rating.

To determine its rankings, Yelp evaluated hotels, inns, campgrounds, guesthouses, resorts and stays based on ratings and reviews between January 2021 to May 2023.

Only one Ohio hotel, Hocking Hills Inn and Coffee Emporium in Logan, made the list at No. 70. Two other Kentucky hotels were also included: The Brown Hotel and 21 C Museum Hotel, both located in Louisville.

Bottleworks Hotel, a former soda bottling factory turned in an art deco hotel in Indianapolis, ranked No. 1 overall. According to Yelp, it features a movie theater, bowling alley, spa and yoga studio and a bespoke cocktail bar. Ironworks Hotel in Indianapolis was also named one of the best places to stay in 2023, ranking No. 27.
