Hotels.com Is Paying $10,000 for a Professional "Poolhopper"
Summer calls for an amazing pool float, travel plans, and plenty of pool time. With June 21 fast approaching, we can’t think of a better way of spending our long days than laying under the sun, and this summer, it’s possible to get paid to work and play, courtesy of Hotels.com.
For the first time ever, Hotels.com is hiring a “Poolhop” to travel across the United States in the search of discovering the best hotel pools. Interested folks who are at least 21 years old, a U.S. resident, and can swim, have until June 25 to apply for this unique position. The chosen person will be compensated a whopping $10,000 for two weeks of travel and stay at six hotels during the month of August.

“The Poolhop’s responsibilities are simple; travel to some of the most incredible hotel pools across the country, sip on fruity drinks, snap some photos, sport a hotel robe and report back to reward-loving Hotels.com fans,” reads the job description. “In case we weren't clear enough: Lounge by the pool. Document the experience. Get paid.”
"No one wants to be sitting at a desk all summer," Katie Junod, general manager of the Hotels.com brand in North America, said in a statement. "There are so many incredible hotel pools to explore across the country and we want to give travelers a first-hand look at the crème de la crème. And who better to live the hotel life than our very own Hotels.com Poolhop?”
In addition to having travel and lodging fees covered, the Poolhop will also receive one year of Gold Rewards member status on Hotels.com, which includes benefits like priority customer service, privileged access to promotions, and a travel guarantee.
