Houma dentist elected as president of Louisiana Dental Association

A Houma dentist has been elected president of the Louisiana Dental Association.

Dr. Stephen Morgan was officially installed as the LDA president during the organization’s 141st House of Delegates meeting Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans.

Morgan, who received a degree in physics from Millsaps College in 1996 and graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in in 2003, has served as member of the American Dental Association, LDA and Bayou District Dental Association for 19 years.

He has served as president, president-elect and secretary of the Bayou District Dental Association and served on the LDA Board of Directors for nine years.

Outside of dentistry, Morgan enjoys running, CrossFit competitions and serves as a youth group leader. He is married to Dr. Amanda Bell Morgan and has three children, Preston, Avery and Adeline.
