House of the Dragon's Fabien Frankel is set to join Saltburn star Alison Oliver in an untitled drama TV series at HBO.

Frankel played Ser Criston Cole on HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel, and is set to reprise his role in its second season – but elsewhere at the network, he's swapping dragons for drug busts in the upcoming, unnamed drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the limited series from the creator of Mare of Easttown, will revolve around "members of a law enforcement task force and the people they’re trying to apprehend."

Although the series currently has no name, it already features some heavy hitters to flesh out its cast. Frankel joins Saltburn and Conversation with Friends' Alison Oliver and Poor Things' Mark Ruffalo on the production.

Ruffalo will reportedly play Tom, "an FBI agent leading the task force to stop a string of drug-house robberies, led by an unsuspecting family man, in the Philadelphia suburbs."

Frankel's role, Anthony, will be a "key member of the task force," whereas Oliver's Lizzie will be "an underperforming state police officer added to Tom’s team."

Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raúl Castillo, Jamie McShane and Sam Keeley co-star.

Creative-team-wise, the series is from Mare of Easttown's Brad Ingelsby, and will be produced by independent studio Wiip.

Frankel is set to reprise his role as Ser Christon Col in House of the Dragon's second season, which will premiere in "early summer" of 2024.

Oliver's other upcoming project is crime thriller The Order, which is currently filming. Separate to the Netflix series of the same name, the film will star Jude Law, Nicholas Hoult and Tye Sheridan in an adaptation of the 1989 non-fiction book The Silent Brotherhood, which revolves around American white supremacist group The Order.

House of the Dragon airs on HBO in the US and on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK. Season 2 will be released in summer 2024. Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray.
