The House Education Committee’s Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development, chaired by Rep. Burgess Owens (R-Utah), is slated to host a hearing Tuesday to discuss antisemitism on college campuses.
The hearing, “Confronting the Scourge of Antisemitism on Campus,” will likely focus on pro-Palestinian protests and a spike in antisemitic threats following the beginning of Israel’s war with Hamas last month.
The committee will hear testimony from several witnesses:
Rabbi Moshe Hauer, executive vice president of Orthodox Union
Kenneth L. Marcus, founder and chairman at Brandeis Center
Stacy Burdett, independent consultant in antisemitism prevention and response
Sahar Tartak, student at Yale University
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST.
