Alliance house fire kills one, two escape
ALLIANCE − Firefighters are investigating a house fire that killed one person Thursday.
Firefighters from Alliance and Sebring arrived to find the two-story home in the 1300 block of South Arch Avenue fully ablaze.
Harry Campbell, an investigator for the Stark County Coroner's Office, said a body − believed to be a man − was removed from the second floor of the house. Two people who had been on the roof of the home had been helped down by neighbors, according to a post by the Alliance fire department.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal's office is helping with the investigation.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
The Alliance Fire Department is asking that anyone with information or security camera footage of the fire to inspector Guy Aumend at 330-821-1213.
