House fire in Hampton; no injuries reported

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in Hampton Tuesday morning.

Officials said the fire started just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Joy Drive, not far from Big Bethel Road and Roberta Drive. This is about one mile away from Mary W. Jackson Fundamental School.

One person has been treated for smoke inhalation. Officers on scene are searching for some animals that were in the home when the fire broke out.
