House fire in south Charlotte causes $230k damage and displaces residents of three homes
A house fire in south Charlotte has caused about $230,000 in damage and has displaced the residents of three homes.
Charlotte Fire Department responded to a working structure fire call on the 17000 block of Westmil Lane around 12:56 a.m. Sunday morning.

Responding firefighters were met with heavy, visible fire on the scene. It took 40 firefighters and 43 minutes to fully put out the fire.

Investigators ruled the fire accidental and reported the cause as incorrectly stored firework debris.
The department reported that two nearby structures suffered damage from the fire, and there were no injuries.
