House of Mac opened a new location, and now all of your diet dreams are dead

Mac and cheese is life — and an old friend has opened a new spot where you can eat it.

A lot of it.

The World Famous House of Mac has opened a new location in North Miami Beach, where it will serve many, many crazy-delicious forms of mac and cheese — the most wondrous and comforting substance on earth.

Consider the World Famous Five Cheese Truffle Mac and Cheese (it’s only $10). The idea is so wonderful, you may think you don’t need to look further down the menu, but you should. Chef Derrick “Chef Teach” Turton is way more imaginative than you realize.

Derrick “Chef Teach” Turton will use the new location as a test kitchen, so expect more mac and cheese madness.

His restaurant, a favorite of such celebrities as Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Uncle Luke and Trick Daddy, also serves jerk mac and cheese. Smoked barbecue mac and cheese. Lobster mac and cheese. There’s even a pizza mac and cheese and a vegan mac and cheese.

And if for some insane reason mac and cheese is not your favorite food group, we’re sorry. You may need to question your life choices. But Chef Teach has you covered: His menu also includes pizzas, jerk pasta dishes and his famous buttermilk fried chicken and waffles.

The new spot will also serve as a test kitchen and plans to introduce limited edition menu items monthly. There’s your reason to keep coming back.

House of Mac also has locations in Wynwood and Central Fare at Virgin Miami Central Station and Chef Teach’s original food truck can still be spotted at events around town.
