House of Mules coming soon to Folsom. Location spins off West Sacramento sports bar
House of Mules, a spin-off of the West Sacramento sports bar, Kick N Mule, will soon open at 13385 Folsom Blvd., Suite 900.
An opening date has not yet been determined in the space that used to be occupied by La Bou, according to Megan McClain, Kick N Mule’s event manager. It will be the first sister store to the West Sacramento location, which opened in August 2017.
McClain said the only difference right now is the name.
She said the owners aim to keep the menu and the hours pretty much the same with maybe a few tweaks. Customers can expect to find the same burgers, sandwiches, tater tots, homemade chili and a happy hour menu as the current West Sacramento establishment, she said.
“We’ve got a lot of craft cocktails (and) local breweries on tap,” McClain said. “For draft beer, we also have 20 plus flavors of Moscow mules.”
The mules typically range in price from $7 to $12, she said.

Kick N Mule has community-based events that they plan to bring to the Folsom location, according to McClain. This includes trivia, karaoke, live music performances and a DJ who comes in for themed-music nights.
“(We’re) hoping to meet some new people, meet the faces of Folsom and enjoy hanging out with them every day,” she said.
