Household consumers in seven regions, Kyiv city to face restrictions on electricity consumption, says Ukrenerg

According to the company, forced restrictions will apply to residential consumers in the central (the city of Kyiv, and Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr oblasts) and northern (Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava oblasts) regions of the country, whose networks were most affected this week.
Ukrenergo noted energy companies would be forced to limit electricity supplies to consumers to eliminate the aftermath of Russian missile attack on Oct. 27.

“This is done to prevent the network from being overloaded,” the report says.
Earlier the DTEK energy company announced they were preparing new blackouts schedules for Kyiv. The duration of restrictions can be increased to six hours.
