I-10 is typically packed with cars, but when it was covered with snow and ice and barely any vehicles, this guy strapped on his skis.

- Hey, team.

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: Hey, team.

- Go on. Keep driving.

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: Come on.

- Come on. Let's go.

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: Woo! Ice!

Hey, [INAUDIBLE].

- He's picking up [INAUDIBLE] now.

- Yeah, he is.

- [LAUGHS]

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: I mean, we were sitting around getting kind of cold in the house. Lost power at about midnight the morning before. And it's like, hey, what should we do? And I was looking at these skis sitting in my room. Might as well put them to some use, and saw there was still snow on the ground. Just drove around, found a good amount of snow right there, and decided to ski it, decided to hit it.

- Were you nervous or anything about doing it on the freeway?

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: Not as nervous as I should have been, honestly, after seeing the video. I was like, aw, I probably should have been a little more cautious. But two of my three roommates, one of them's a nurse at the hospital, so he was on call. And he didn't get to participate, but the other two, they were with me. And one of them snowboards, and we had our skis out. And he was like, I'll drive. And so he drove my truck around the city until we found a good piece of ice to ski and just hopped out and started skiing right there being pulled by the truck.

- Do you think this was dangerous by any means, or what do you think about this?

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: Ski down blacks and double blacks, I mean, it can't be that much dangerous. There's no steep hills, no trees, none of that. It's just looking for cars coming.

- Hopefully next time it ices or snows in Houston, it won't be like how it's been. But are you going to do it next time if it ever happens like that in Houston again?

TRAVIS MCGULLAM: Most people ask me. They say, does that look bad or anything? I said, I'd do it today if the snow was still on the ground.
