Houston police hunt gunman after three officers are shot
Houston police are hunting for a gunman on the loose after three officers were shot in the city.
The officers were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital , but their condition has not been made public by the police department.
“The suspect fled the scene in a white Mercedes and is being sought at this time,” HPD tweeted.
The latest shooting came just four days after Corporal Charles Galloway of Harris County Constable Precinct 5 was fatally shot during a traffic stop.
Oscar Rosales was later taken into custody by Mexican authorities in Ciudad Acuña, across the border from Del Rio, Texas.
The suspect was returned to the Houston area on Wednesday night.
Mr Rosales, 50, had entered the US illegally, according to a spokesperson for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
