Houston shooting: One police officer shot dead and another injured while serving warrant

A police officer has been fatally shot and another wounded while executing a search warrant, authorities have said.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said on Monday that the injured officer was in a stable condition and was taken to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Centre following the incident.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on Twitter that a possible suspect died at the scene.
