Soft lighting? Check. Beautiful candy-coloured underwear? Check. Body-confidence in bucketloads? Check, check, check.

There’s no doubt boudoir lingerie shoots can be absolutely beautiful, but often, like many representations of beauty, it’s often a stick-thin, model starring in front of the camera.

But one fashion blogger has decided to break-free of the boudoir constraints and star in her own beautiful lingerie shoot. And she hopes it will inspire others to have the body confidence to do the same.

In her latest project, How to Create a Boudoir Photo Shoot: Tips for Every Body, Ce Ce Olisa, Plus Size Princess blogger and body-positive enthusiast, not only models in her own lingerie shoot but also offers her own tips for feeling confident enough to strip off, no matter what your size.

Her tips include working with a friend so you can have fun, creating a playlist that will make you feel fabulous and doing activities you enjoy during the shoot.

“I was inspired to create a boudoir shoot a few years ago,” Olisa tells BuzzFeed, “but it was one of those ‘someday’ ideas. Maybe someday when I get married, maybe someday when my tummy is a little flatter.”

“But I’ve been on a body love journey, and my personal motto is, ‘Don’t wait on your weight to live your best life.’ So I thought, why am I waiting? I’m ready to do this now.”

The response to the shoot and accompanying video has been overwhelming with many commenting that the project has given them the confidence to re-create their own similar shoot.

This isn’t the first time Ce Ce has done her bit to spread the body-positive word. She is also the creator of the #PSPfit plus size workout videos and co-creator of theCURVYcon, a lifestyle conference for curvy women.

Think we just found us a new body-positive hero.
