How to get Pokémon GO World Championships 2023's Timed Research Rewards

The Pokémon World Championships 2023 is happening this weekend, and fans of various Pokémon games around the world are gathering to watch players battle each other to be the very best.

While everything will take place in Yokohama, Japan from 11 to 13 August, players across the globe can still watch online, enjoy the fun, and even get rewards.

Specifically, Pokémon GO trainers who tune in to the Twitch live stream will have the chance to receive two exclusive Time Research codes when they watch 30 minutes of the Pokémon GO Twitch livestream during the Pokémon GO World Championships.

Here are all the details you need to know to participate.

Day 1: Great League Greatness Timed Research

Trainers who use the live stream code from Day 1 will receive exclusive Timed Research on battling fundamentals.

  • Team Option 1: Skarmory, Vigoroth, Swampert

  • Team Option 2: Trevenant, Noctowl, Lanturn

  • Team Option 3: Azumarill, Umbreon, Mandibuzz

Other rewards include 8000 Stardust, 1 Premium Raid Pass, and 1 Star Piece.

Day 2: DancingRob’s Champion Timed Research

Trainers who use the live stream code on Day 2 will have the opportunity to obtain a special Timed Research that pays tribute to DancingRob, the 2022 Pokémon GO Master's Division World Champion, and one Pokémon that led him to victory.

Trainers may have a chance to obtain a Stunfisk (Galarian), 1 Elite Charge TM and more.

Both of these codes are only valid until 20 August, 2023, at 8am Singapore Time. Each Timed Research code can only be claimed once per account.

How to Redeem the Research Codes

  1. Follow the Pokémon GO Twitch channel to be notified when the action begins.

  2. Watch the live stream: Make sure to tune in on Friday (11 August) from 8am Singapore Time, and/or Saturday (12 August) from 8am, Singapore Time. Rebroadcasts available throughout the weekend.

  3. Locate the giveaway panel: On the Pokémon GO Twitch channel, there will be a panel below the Twitch stream window during the live stream.

  4. Share your Twitch ID: To join and have your watch time tracked, click the "Share Twitch ID" button.

  5. Watch the Stream: While watching, a timer will appear to keep track of the number of minutes watched.

  6. When you minimise the stream, your timer will be paused. Please keep in mind that refreshing or closing the stream may cause your timer to reset.

  7. Claim your code: After 30 minutes of watching, you will see a button labelled "Claim Your Code." To reveal your code, simply click the button.

  8. Redeem your code: Click on the revealed code to copy it to your clipboard. Use the direct link under the code to go to the Redeem Offer Codes page and paste the code there.
