Jul. 17—Overall, most of the northern and southern portions of the state received less than two inches of rain over the past 24 hours while the central, eastern and parts of western Connecticut saw the highest concentration of rainfall. According to data from the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network, Waterbury, Brookfield, Mystic, Uncasville and Plainville were all areas that received more than three inches of rain.

According to Gary Lessor, the chief meteorologist at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut is experiencing its fourth wettest July on record with the city of Hartford specifically experiencing its wettest July ever.

Warm temperatures and a minimal chance of rainfall are forecasted for the remainder of Monday while Tuesday could see an average of 1.75 inches of rain across the state. Temperatures are expected to remain in the upper 80s and lower 90s during the remainder of the week.
