Dubbed a "budget-friendly powerhouse," this laptop once retailed from $689.99 and is now down to $599.99, a savings of 13%. In testing, we couldn't say enough fabulous things about the model and found its performance comparable to the latest Apple MacBook Pro ($1,399) for a fraction of the price.
Currently priced at less than $600, our tester was thrilled with the slick design. Its keyboard is not only beautiful, but it also has a fingerprint reader—something most affordable laptops don't offer. It's 15-inch touchscreen is a beaut in laptop mode and can also swivel around to function as a tablet. The RMD Ryzen 5 processor allowed us to run multiple programs at the same time without a hitch, and while it wasn't as great as the MacBook Pro's Intel Core i9, it was certainly close.
In terms of battery life, the Envy was able to run for nearly seven hours of web browsing. Additionally, we found the design both attractive and functional, from the super slim keyboard to the large trackpad. All in all, we couldn't be more thrilled with this model's ability to do it all, noting that it would be difficult to find a better laptop in this price range.
