HS BASKETBALL: City schools Nativity, Pottsville to play for Schuylkill League title

Feb. 25—POTTSVILLE — It will be an all-city battle for the Schuylkill League boys' basketball title Friday night at Martz Hall.

Division I champion Pottsville and Division III champion Nativity cruised to victories in Wednesday's semifinals, with the Hilltoppers routing Blue Mountain 66-36 in the opener and the Crimson Tide decking Williams Valley 63-33 in the nightcap.

It will be Nativity's first appearance in the Schuylkill League boys' final since losing to Saint Clair in 1982. Tip-off time is 8 p.m. Friday.
