NORTHRIDGE RAIDERS (1-1) VS. MISHAWAKA CAVEMEN (2-0)

  • When/where: Friday, 7 p.m. at Steele Stadium in Mishawaka.

  • Series: Mishawaka leads series 2-0 after picking up a 58-14 win in 2021.

  • Last week: Northridge dropped a 28-7 final at unbeaten Elkhart. ... The Cavemen rolled for the second straight week, downing Saint Joseph's 30-8.

  • Extra points:  Kade Sainz had a touchdown reception for the Raiders' lone score last week. Northridge ranked No. 11 in AP Class 4A poll. ... Chase Gooden ran for 166 yards and three scores for the Cavemen last week. The senior fullback suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter versus Saint Joseph and his status for this week is undetermined. Mishawaka ranked No. 5 in AP Class 5A poll.
