HS TRACK AND FIELD: Danilovitz, Stanislavsky led County teams to victories

Jun. 6—S. ABINGTON TWP. — Lacey Danilovitz and Peter Stanislavsky led their teams to victory as the senior stars from the Lackawanna Track Conference had one more time to shine.

Danilovitz, Riverside's standout distance runner, won three individual events, set two meet records, and capped the day with a win as part of a relay as the County all-stars defeated the City all-stars, 91-53, in the girls meet at the second annual LTC Coaches Senior All-Star event at Abington Heights High School on Monday.

Stanislavsky won three jumping events and set two meet records as the County posted a 100-50 win over the City in the boys meet.

Danilovitz, who is headed to the University at Buffalo, won the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 41.55 seconds and the 3,200 in 12:18.35 seconds for her two records. She also won the 800, was a member of the 1,600 relay, and was selected as the girls Most Valuable Performer.

"This is really neat," said Danilovitz, who is still training for the New Balance National Meet, which is scheduled for June 15-16 at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania. "It is nice that they put something together like this for the seniors. To come here and to be the MVP is truly an honor."

Susquehanna's Tatum Norris led the City all-stars and earned the Track Performer of the Meet. She won the 100 in 12.96, the 200 in 25.96, and the long jump in 17-4 1/4 .

"This was a lot of fun," Norris said. "It was nice to run again with a lot of the girls who I have been competing against all these years."

Abington Heights' Gineva Reese won the shot put (30-10 1/2 ) and discus (95-1) for the County all-stars to earn the girls Field Performer of the Meet.

In the boys meet, Stanislavsky, who only joined the track team at Delaware Valley in his senior year, won the triple jump at 42-5 1/4 and the high jump at 6-0 for his records, and added a win in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 20-10 3/4 .

"I was always jumping and dunking in basketball, and I just kind of wanted to see how I would do at track, and it worked out really well," Stanislavsky said. "It felt really good today, especially because I haven't practiced in almost two weeks."

Abington Heights' Niko Williams did his part for the County. The Lafayette College commit won the shot put with a distance of 47-2 and the discus with a mark of 133-6 for a pair of meet records and the boys Field Performer of the Meet award.

"This is amazing," Williams said. "I have been on track since seventh grade, and it's nice for all of this to culminate with an award at my track."

North Pocono's Colin Kravitz, who is also training for the national meet, swept the 100 and 400 and set a record in the 200 in 22.69 before anchoring the 1,600 relay team to a win for the City all-stars.

"I came here to have fun and smile on the track," Kravitz said. "It was an overall really fun experience."
